What is a mini camp?

What is a mini camp?

These camps are for (but not limited to) children between 6 and 13 that have never been to a camp and could feel nervous about the idea of sleeping away from home.

The first night is always the hardest and a weekend is less intimidating than a whole camp!

Our Mini camps are designed as a taster to give confidence and excitement about the idea of going to camp. Of course they are also open to all those who just want to have a fun weekend making new friends, doing activities and playing games. (They won’t even realise it is entirely through English!)

Programme

These weekend camps run from Saturday morning until Sunday evening.

During the Mini camps we play a lot of games designed to have fun but with the intention of breaking the ice and making new friends through teamwork and working towards common goals.

As well as this we like to have adventures in nature with hiking, river exoloration, scavenger huts, outdoor games, cooking on an open fire, and much more.

Not only this, we try new food, meet new people, and everyone takes part in the daily responsibilities such as setting and clearing the table, taking responsibility for your own possessions, and making your bed.

And of course it wouldn't be camp without one of our famous Farm nightgames!

English immersion

We create a fully immersive English environment with a minimum of 85% native staff. 

Support

For many it is their first night away from home. We aim to create a safe and supportive environment to help with this important step.

Activities

The children will have the opportunity to experience a variety of activities throughout the weekend.

Nature

We design our camps around fresh air and nature and enjoy lots of exploration in the outdoors.
